General Questions

When I view a category/archive/search the post that has the gallery on it shows code that looks like “(function($){$(document).ready(function(){$(”#px10?).jqGalViewII({});});})(jQuery);”, why does it show this code and where are my images?

I am not a 100% percent on this, but WordPress seems to scrub each post and creates an excerpt of your post, usually about 100 words, for those pages. And if your post does not have 100 words before the gallery, it will spit out the code. So the fix would be one of three things, make sure you have text before the gallery, make sure you have excerpt text or alter your themes to show full post instead of excepts.

Does your plugin download the photos from my Flickr/Picasa/SmugMug accounts?

No, the plugin will simply reference those image/photos that you already have uploaded to any of those services.

Hi Benjamim!

First of all great Plugin! But I do have an issue that I can not understand. I have instaled the plugin and it worked fine. Until one day, without any warning, it stoped working and I can not mange or build galleries. Also I can not change the options.

I’ve tried in IE and Firefox, and in different machines too.

In the options menu, I can see all the options at the same time (page) and the save button does not save my settings. Weird.

When I go to create galleries, all options available appear in the same pages, instead of the sequential flow that was supposed to appear… I can change options, but the next buttons or the back links do not work and I can’t create galleries.

And, on op of that, my first gallery, the one that worked, stopped to appear correctly and stopped to work all together…

My version of WordPress is 2.5.1 and I’m running PhotoXhibit 2.1.6.

Hello, question…
I’m using the Mozilla (Seamonkey) browser and when i view my page that is successfully implementing this plugin as a “cycle”, all of the images show up in a vertical row, with code at the bottom. Does this simply not work with Mozilla? Or am I missing some kind of plugin that I need for Mozilla Seamonkey? I installed a plugin for Flash (adobe) but that didn’t help.

I’d appreciate some feedback, thanks

Hi. i really love your plugin. i’ve been looking for something like it for a while but I am having some problems. the gallery functions great from the build gallery page using jquery lightbox, but when i put in in a post i see the thumnails but the slide does not load (just a question mark).
i’m using wordpress 2.5 and have had problems with image uploads before which is why i’m using your plugin.

hi,

this is a great control.. thanks
I want to add the gallery to the body of my page
when I use the wordpress page editor to add the following code..

the page comes blank as this code processed as htm not php
when I call the same code from any php file like sidebar.php .. it’s working fine

can you help me please

You should test your plugin with a xampp-server on windows.
Something goes wrong with the reset-captcha-button image an with the captcha-imae on reset. The file-pathe for some php-files go wrong.

I have been seeing this issue myself, I am not sure why this is happening and why all of a sudden. I am trying to find a fix will post when I do.

HI,
First big respect for your work with this plugin !!
Second, i’ve built a gallery from my flikr account, i can see the thumbnail images but when i click on the image to display them bigger, i’ve a message instead of my photo. This message is from flikr : “this photo is currently unavaible”. But i can see her in my flikr account ! The first minutes after built the gallery, i was possible for me to see them, but now anything appear…
Please help..

Hi,
excuse me for my bad english language.
I want to use Photo exhibit plugin with my wordpress2.5 site, but I can’t build gallery from my picasaweb.google.fr album.
get photos click button put my picasa album images into the leftside, then I doubleclick on the wanted images, they appear into the rigtside as well I am wanted.
I name my gallery and choose the gallery style and click on submit changes button
Please wait message appears for a very long time., and my galery is never built.

I don’t understand
where have’I put bad datas?
